2007-2 Considerations regarding reactive power and its compensation.

The loads present in cutting lines, powered by alternating electrical current, are not exclusively resistive, but substantially reactive (inductive and capacitive), since they contain motors, power supply, fluorescent lighting, etc. Slitting lines, used with large motors, include a significant inductive load that would make them energy inefficient if measures were not taken.
