A common job in the final processing of sheet metal is cutting steel coils, manufactured by the iron and steel industry, into flat blanks. Cut-to-length lines are used to do this, in which the coil is uncoiled, levelled, cut into blanks of the required length and then, finally, these sheets are stacked.
